About

Every part has a shed it belongs in

DubShed is where South African Volkswagen people find parts, keep their build history and talk to each other.

DubShed started with a simple frustration: the parts are out there, but the knowledge about them is scattered across forums, group chats and the memory of the people who've been doing this for forty years. A part number written on a box in someone's garage is worth nothing if nobody can search for it.

So we built the database first. Every part in DubShed can carry its OEM number, the numbers that superseded it, the numbers that are equivalent, and exactly which models and years it fits. Listings hang off that spine, which is what makes searching trustworthy instead of hopeful.

Around that sits My Shed — your vehicles, your photographs, your wanted list — and a marketplace where buyer and seller can talk directly. We're launching in South Africa with a small group of enthusiasts, and building outwards from what they tell us.

A real parts database

Part numbers, supersessions and fitment kept properly, so a number you find here means something.

A marketplace with context

Listings tied to the parts they actually are — not just a photograph and a guess.

Privacy by default

Your shed is yours. Photographs and drafts stay private until you choose to list them.

Built with the community

DubShed grows from what owners, restorers and traders tell us they need next.
