Guidelines
How we do things here
DubShed works because people deal straight with each other. These are the ground rules.
Be honest about what you're selling
- Use your own photographs of the actual item, not catalogue pictures.
- Describe damage, wear, missing pieces and repairs plainly.
- Only claim a part number when you've checked it on the part itself.
- Say whether an item is original, reproduction or refurbished.
Deal fairly
- Agree the price, postage and payment method before money moves.
- Mark a listing sold or reserved as soon as it happens.
- Answer messages you've started; a short 'no thanks' beats silence.
- Don't list the same item repeatedly to keep it at the top.
Stay safe
- Meet in daylight, in a public place, and take someone with you where you can.
- Inspect before you pay, and be wary of pressure to rush.
- Keep the conversation on DubShed until you're comfortable.
- Never share banking passwords, OTPs or ID documents with another member.
Talk to each other properly
- No abuse, harassment, hate speech or personal attacks.
- Disagree about a rebuild, not about the person doing it.
- Help newcomers — everyone was once wrong about a bay window.
- Keep politics and unrelated advertising out of the marketplace.
What isn't allowed
- Stolen parts or vehicles, or anything you can't legally sell.
- Counterfeit parts presented as genuine.
- Scams, fake payment proofs and off-platform payment pressure.
- Impersonating another member, business or DubShed staff.
Seen something wrong?
Report a listing, a message or a member and the DubShed team will look at it. Serious breaches can result in a listing being removed or an account being suspended.
